With the winter Olympics in a few days, it’s time to qualify for the Senior Olympics which will be in 2019. The National Senior Games Association provides competitive opportunities for senior citizens on a bi-annual basis with the vision of promoting healthy lifestyles for adults through education, fitness, and sport. The NSGA exists today as a non-profit organization dedicated to motivating active adults to lead a healthy lifestyle through the senior games movement.The Games, a 19-sport, biennial competition for men and women 50 and over, is the largest multi-sport event in the world for seniors.
NSGA Member Organizations hold annual games with qualifying competitions in the year preceding The Games. To date, the NSGA has held 15 Summer national championships. The next games will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico from June 14-25, 2019. Sports that will be played include track and field, golf, swimming, archery, basketball, tennis among others.
